Kyrgyz national writer, outstanding prose writer and draftsman Kasymaly Zhantoshev was born in 1904 in the village of Tepke, Ak-Suu district. In 1970, a museum of K. Zhantoshev was established in the school. Since then, it has been repaired and made acceptable work.

At the moment the number of exhibits in the museum is 97.

Literary Contributions

Kasymaly Zhantoshev is also known to readers as the author of a number of prose works (stories "Two Young Men", "Flaming Youth", "Chaban with Khan-Tengri" and others). The creativity of the writer is characterized by his main book - the epic canvas "Kanybek", one of the first Kyrgyz novels, which entered the golden fund of national culture.

"Kanybek": From Novel to Play and Film

Based on the novel, the author created the play "Kanybek" (1954), which retained the main plot lines of the novel and was successfully performed on many theater stages. In 1979, the novel "Kanybek" was screened at the studio "Kyrgyzfilm".
