Yrdyk is a small village located approximately 7 kilometers west of Karakol city in Kyrgyzstan.

The village was established in 1877 under the name of Marinskoe, which was later changed to Dyishin before being renamed to Yrdyk. The village was founded on the site of the former Dungan village of Mariinskoye.

Yrdyk is known as a Dungan village, which is a group of Chinese-speaking Muslims who fled to Kyrgyzstan during the Hui Minorities' War in the 19th century. The village is situated at the foot of the Terskey Alatoo mountain range and is surrounded by beautiful natural scenery.

One of the popular attractions in Yrdyk is the Yrdyk Lakes, which are located in the nearby mountains. The trek to the lakes is considered to be a good starting point for those who want to explore the beauty of the Terskey Alatoo. The Yrdyk Lakes are known for their crystal-clear waters and stunning views.

Another popular attraction near Yrdyk is the Kyzyl Djar red canyon, which is located in the middle of a forest. The canyon is famous for its red sandstone formations, and visitors can explore the area on foot or horseback.

Overall, Yrdyk is a charming village that offers visitors a unique glimpse into the Dungan culture and the beauty of the Kyrgyzstan mountains.
