Jyrgalan sanatorium

Sanatorium Djergalan with its mineral waters is recommended to visit all tourists of Karakol.The climatic-balneo-mud sanatorium "Djergalan" is located at the mouth of the river Djergalan, 10 km northeast of Karakol and 390 km from Bishkek, in the Tyup district of the Issyk-Kul region. About 40 years ago, geologists here discovered deep hot water with therapeutic properties, where the sanatorium "Djergalan" was founded.The sanatorium "Djergalan" is a part of the association "Kyrgyz Sovietcourt". Many people remember this unique sanatorium with gratitude.  Here are excellent conditions for climatic treatment, the sanatorium is located at an altitude of 1624 m above sea level and the climate is considered mountainous. Another peculiarity of the sanatorium is low atmospheric pressure (615-620 mmHg), dryness and abundant sunshine, the annual sum of which reaches 2646 hours, which is 700 hours more than in Sochi and 1000 hours more than in Nalchik, which are located at the same altitude.
