Asan Tukum (Jeti Oguz)

Welcome to the picturesque Jailoo at the confluence of the Jeti Oguz and Asan Tukum rivers. Each summer, nomads set up their yurts here, bringing along their sheep, cows, horses, and goats. This charming spot, nestled near the bank of Jeti Oguz river, is a haven for hikers traversing from the Chong Kyzyl Suu valley to the Karakol valley.

The foot of the Asan Tukum gorge is a perfect camping destination, surrounded by the majestic Tienshansky fir-tree forest. The forest's upper limit reaches approximately 2900-3000 meters, transitioning to upper juniper up to 3200-3300 meters. At the top of the Asan Tukum gorge, you'll find the Archa Tor pass at an altitude of 3908 meters, connecting to the Kashkator tributary of the Chong Kyzyl Suu river. This area is a paradise for alpinists and hikers alike, offering access to the Baytor glaciers just 6-7 km to the south.

Dominating the landscape are the vertical icy and rocky cliffs of Mount Oguz Bashi. The highest point, Oguz Bashi East, stands at 5181 meters, making it the second-highest peak of the Teskei Alatoo range.
