The Ala Archa valley is a National park of 2280 hectares. It's situated 41 km North of Bishkek, on the North side of the Kyrgyz Alatoo range at the altitude between 1600 and 4860 meter.
The Council of Minister of the KSSR initiated this park on 29th April 1976, then the territory was 19,4 hectares. Actually, the forest represent 1316 hectares and 970 hectares for non forest land.
The Kyrgyz State protect this park where few animals from the Red Book, like the Marco Polo, Snow Leopard, Tian Shan's bear or marmots.
This program takes you to the most remote regions of Kyrgyzstan, to discover peoples, landscapes and various mountains. A 2-day trek takes you to the heart of the Pamir Alai through Djiptik pass 4185m offering a wonderful view of Lenin Peak 7134m. the second highest summit of the Pamirs. A horseback riding 2 days of easy level, takes from yurt to yurt around the fabulous Lake Song Kul, place of summer meeting of Kyrgyz nomads. Before the end of the program, eight days of trekking takes you in the footsteps of caravans famous Silk Road between highlands, glaciers and alpine forests
